Jr. Americans Can Clinch 1st Place with Win this Saturday

Saturday August 13th - Road Game vs Grapevine Wolves (Red) - 2:50pm Polar Ice House

 

A win would put us at 9-3 with 18 points, a full 5 points clear of Jr. Wolves (Black) who have 2 games remaining (4 possible points).  A loss would open the door to them to pass us with 2 straight victories.

Stretch Run for the First Place Jr. Americans

As we embark on the stretch run for your first place Jr. Americans, we can reflect that we are 1-0 at the Bantam level and 6-2 at the PeeWee level for a 7-2 overall record.  Depending on what Arlington does, we might have another game at the Bantam level this weekend.  We are on a 7 game winning streak and the whole team is contributing at an amazing level.  It has been a fun season so far, with still some doubt about who will win the league.  There are no playoffs, so the team with the best record in the regular season is the champion (not sure there is a trophy, though).  Here is the balance of the schedule:

New Season Amongst Us........

This is the team blog.  Most of the information contained will have already been communicated via email, but it is a nice reference with team information and quick links.  I generally update it after an email is sent.  Looking forward to the summer season!

Arlington has agreed to come to our rink to play Game 2 of the Peewee Championship.  It will be held at 5pm on March 27th at ACIR.

Tomorrow's game is cancelled due to no refs.  Instead, we will hold a practice that focuses in on skating and passing drills, so the kids can have some skills training.

PeeWee Shootout during Allen Americans Game - Februrary 25th, 7:30pm Game Time

• Team event
• Two goalies (Adrian Turner will be 2nd goalie) - team divides into two teams shooting at each goal
• Between the 1st and 2nd periods
• 2 Free tickets per player to game (I'll confirm if we can get more per player)

Jr. Starter of the Game:

• One player each date
• First come first served for a particular date.  I will use email received time stamp as indicator.
• 4 free tickets to that game
• The player meets hockey players before game
• Skate out with the team and introduced by name as the Jr. Starter of the Game

We have an important change to our game schedule.  The original schedules you have (and that have been reflected on pointstreak) show our games this Sunday and next Sunday at 3:30pm.  THIS IS INCORRECT.  Both games are actually at 5:00pm (our regular time) with the Squirts playing right before us.  The Wolves GM has been informed and their coach updated with the new time. I will update the blog and the email reminders will reflect this change.  Pointstreak will be changed by Jeff Ramsay.  Therefore:
